Personal Tax Returns

In April, most individuals look for a tax accountant. We have assisted in filing thousands of personal income tax returns for Canadians and has gained extensive experience in completing personal tax returns. If you retain us to act as for you, we will help you identify the tax slips required to file your tax return. If you had incomes in 2020, you may have received statements commonly referred to as T-slips. The following is a list of slips used on a personal income tax return:
1. T3 (Statement of Trust Income Allocation and Designations)
2. T4 (Statement of Remuneration Paid)
3. T4E (employment insurance)
4. T5 (Statement of Investment IncomeT4A)
5. T4A (Statement of Pension, Retirement, Annuity, and Other Income)
6. T4A(OAS) (Statement of Old Age Security)
7. T4A(P) (Statement of Canada Pension Plan Benefits)
8. T4RIF (Statement of Income from a Registered Retirement Income Fund)
9. T4RSP (Statement of RRSP Income)
10. T5008 (Statement of Security Transactions)
11. T5013 (Statement of Partnership Income)
12. T5018 (Statement of Contract Payments)

The Canada Revenue Agency also provides tax credits to individuals based on their tax situations, commonly known as Non-Refundable Tax Credits. The following is a list of credits that may be found in your tax return:

Spousal Exemption, Eligible Dependent Amount, Disability Amounts, Adoption Expenses, Tuition, Fees and Education Amounts, Interest Paid on Student Loans, Medical Expenses and Caregiver Amount

We will also ensure that your tax return is filed promptly. The filing deadline for a self-employed Canadian is June 30, 2021. The taxpayers other than the self-employed are required to file their tax return by April 30, 2020. Whether you are employed or self-employed, you will have to pay taxes by April 30, 2021. Otherwise, interests will accrue. Regardless of how you submit your tax return, you must keep all your tax documents for at least six years. If you claimed expenses, deductions or tax credits, make sure you keep all your receipts and any related documents in case the CRA asks to see them. We have an office at Yonge and Sheppard that you can visit. Alternatively, you can also contact us via email at [email protected] or by phone at 647-724-4272.
